Social Media Marketing
Social Media is all about building relationships with the people that you follow or subscribe to you. For this reason we help set up your social media networks train you on how to use and get the most out of them. The tip to social media is that you get out of it what you put into it. If you don’t post regularly you are simply “Out of sight, Out of Mind.”
Facebook
Facebook Business Pages are pages reserved for businesses, organizations and public figures that can be created through your Facebook profile. Facebook pages are important since they are popping up more and more in the search engines and you can have unlimited fane “likes” Personal pages max out at 5,000 friends so it isn’t ideal for business pages. Your page allows you to make and post updates any time.
Facebook Places provides a presence for your business’s physical store locations-encouraging your customers to share that they’ve visited your business by “checking in” to your Place. When your customer checks into your Place, these check-in stories can generate powerful, organic impressions in friends’ News Feeds, extending your brand’s reach to new customers. Best of all, it’s free.
Facebook Groups are more for clubs and organization. I do not recommend businesses use groups to connect on Facebook it has a few restrictions that will get in your way.
Regardless of how you set it up you want to do it right the first time. If you get a bunch of people to like your page and then decide to move it you will lose many followers.
Twitter – “Reaching the world in 140 characters or less.”
Twitter continues to baffle many. The easiest way that I have come to understand it is to think of it as a SMS (tooltip) tool. When you send out a 140 character post you are sending a text message to ALL the people that follow you. Adding the ability to post from just about any device you can see why Twitter has become so popular.
Blogs
Whatever business you are in you can benefit from a blog. At one time, blogs were seen as a diary that businesses shied away from. Blogs have become a great tool used to support the products and services you sell. Showing your clients and customers how to get the most out of what you have sold to them has proven to promote repeat business as well as increase referrals. Who doesn’t want that?
So why do businesses shy away? Some don’t feel they have the time to invest. Others are unsure about how to deal with the negative comments that come across.
Bottom line it isn’t a bad thing if you handle it the right way.
